Gospel of Life
To enliven the parish response to the universal respect and dignity appropriate to all human life by:
-Calling the parish to a deeper respect for life in all its stages
-Engaging the parish community in practices which better care for and celebrate God’s gift of life
-Sponsoring activities focused on life for the unborn, the disadvantaged and the elderly
Our committee coordinates the following activities for St. Irenaeus Church:
Forty Days for Life, Respect Life Month, Mass for Life, Lenten Adoration, Right to Life/Life Span Mother’s Day Carnation and Father’s Day Candy Sales.
Our GoL members offer assistance to local agencies in support of life including:
Birth Choice, Crossroads Care Center, Grace Centers of Hope, Lighthouse, Mary’s Mantle, Michigan Nurses for Life, and No One Dies Alone.
If you are interested in or knowledgeable about the Church’s teaching on Respect for Life and would like to get more involved in activities which support life, please consider becoming a part of the Gospel of Life Ministry! We are a dynamic and committed team with a love for life- and welcome you, your ideas, and commitment!
